a visit on 9.7.2010 to deulbari village of kultali > 13 & 1\2 months after aila the embankment is not yet completed.interior roads are as it is earlier. there is no mangrove cover created.no cyclone\flood centre build .the villagers are express their apprehension in clear terms that if another aila will come they will have to die or leave the village for ever.the villagers talk of a miserable condition

sundarbans is a unique place.for different natural calamities there were great ups and downs in sundarbans area as it is known now officially.aila is just a dot in its history.severe earthquakes,subsidence of land mass for unknown speculative reasons ,severe cyclones destroy the civilization here several times but it survive again and again .the village deulbari itself has a glorious history to tell.The village take its name from remains of a encient temple which is called deul,like that one in west jata, so its name deulbari.we should try to save the present village population at deulbari from any calamities that deulbari may have to face in near future which had a almost 1000-1500 years of urban past history.
